As an overarching media venture, de-news.net was launched by Thorsten Koch, MA, PgDip, a seasoned journalist and policy expert. Koch has been engaged in professional journalism since 1995, building a career across several domains spanning regional events, information technology, finance, as well as political affairs.
In addition to his media endeavors, Mr. Koch has held leadership roles in the NGO sector. Notably, he served as a Senior Expert on Mauritania for Amnesty International. Beyond his work in media, Mr. Koch has been involved in the field of soft security since 2017. In this context, he has established the non-profit think tank Policyinstitute.net.
